Taylor Swift Eras On The Runway
fashion show pieces according to the aesthetic of each Taylor Swift album
Taylor Swift is my favorite singer. Even when I didn’t know I liked her, I already did while being obsessed with the music videos for 'Blank Space' and 'I Knew You Were Trouble.'
Nowadays, I’m still obsessed with all her work. Every album she releases comes with its own aesthetic and energy. What started with country music, then moved to pop, and even folk songs.
On the other hand, there’s my passion for the fashion world and the fun I have seeing fashion show collections. So, here’s a combination of these two worlds that I love:
Taylor Swift
Country songs, cowboy boots, wavy blonde hair, white dresses, and a touch of female rage marked her entrance into the music industry. 'Taylor Swift Debut' is an underrated album that reminds me a lot of Isabel Marant’s style, which I would personally describe as boho — a style that is currently making a comeback on the runway and the streets.
Fearless
Still within the country genre, but now making history with a '13' written on her hand and wearing gold and yellow clothes with cowboy hats, Taylor won her first Grammy Award for Album of the Year and Best Country Album.
Speak Now
When I was thinking of fashion shows that remind me of this album, I immediately thought of Versace Spring-Summer 2023 with the wedding dresses, because I’m not the kind of girl who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion, but from Taylor’s point of view, she’s not the one wearing the white veil — she’s the one at the church back door.
Besides that, at The Eras Tour, we saw those big dresses that scream 'Speak Now', Zuhair Murad has many designs that remind me of this era.
RED

'I Bet You Think About Me' says the RED album when we see red scarfs and red or black hats. By the way, when I saw this Jean Paul Gaultier dress, I remembered the costumes from The Eras Tour, I love the gradient and sparkle that are present both in the Stolen Version and in the aesthetic of Taylor’s Version.
1989
The new 1989 aesthetic is very beachy and blue, different from the previous version, which had a more New Yorker energy.
When I think about 1989 (Taylor's Version), I picture light blue summer dresses, staring at sunsets, red lips and rosy cheeks. Blumarine is a great example of that.
Reputation

Besides having love lyrics, the album has a dark aesthetic with black and snake prints, something that fits perfectly with Versace’s black wedding dress.
Lover

The costumes from the Lover set of The Eras Tour were made by Versace, so there’s no way I can’t mention the brand for this album. The second and fourth dresses remind me a lot of the costumes, while the other dresses have a very romantic style.
Folklore

Winter & cozy clothes to wear at a forest cabin, but make it chic.
Evermore
Now, talking about my favorite album by THE Taylor Swift, Evermore has an autumn energy, so those fall collections fit perfectly with the aesthetic.
Do a French braid in your hair, put on dark tights, wear dark-colored coats, and you’re ready.
Midnights
Besides the melancholic lyrics and photoshoots for this album, what's a girl gonna do? A diamond's gotta shine! So, The Eras Tour proves that Midnights is all about dark blue and shiny clothes, just like the midnight sky.
The Tortured Poets Department
Our favorite tortured poet brings female rage, long gloves, and many shades of grey, black, and white. The Max Mara dress screams Taylor winning the Album of the Year Grammy.
